“After Paul and Silas came out of the prison, they went to Lydia’s house, where they met with the brothers and encouraged them. Then they left.” Lydia’s vision would challenge her and it would change her. It would also position her right where she needed to be. Her vision would be bigger than her. She was willing to dream bigger than her culture said was appropriate. Her vision was not based on who she was. It was based on who her God was. She dared to dream and to dream big. She started the first church in her community and has been considered the first convert to Christianity in Europe. Her life and vision were among the first examples in the nations that would one day reach the nation in which we now live.
Never despise small beginnings. God has called us to dream big. He has placed within us a vision to see, with His God-sized perspective, the lives of those He loves. Imagine what God can do through you as you discover the lives with whom He has crossed your path. Consider how your life has been changed by crossing paths with those that were in the right place and at the right time. Now is the time to DREAM BIG and see how God can use you. Let the vision be extended both to you and through you.
