Extended Hope, 2: Receive Hope

“You will conceive and give birth to a son…” Mary was told and begin to realize that the hope of the world wouldn’t come through something, but through someone. It would be through Jesus. Her response to this unbelievable message from an unexpected angel would be key to her role in the story. She received. She said, “yes.” She believed that hope was possible and that hope could be within her.

Before we can be used to share a message of hope, we must be willing to live a message of hope. Undoubtedly there are seasons of life that are darkened with disappointments, confusion, and mistakes. Hope says that it doesn’t have to stay that way. Hope reminds that the best days are still in front of you. Take some time today and be reminded that we have a great hope in Jesus. He is hope, but we must receive and daily believe the message of hope. Know that as we prepare to leave as a team, there’s a hope that we have received that others need to see.
