Rock Solid

"Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away" (Mark 13:31).

There is so much trust that is put into things that will not last. Marriages end over "things." Relationships face ruin over "things." People build their lives based on "things." Things will pass away. Work will pass away, success, dreams, and ambitions will pass away. Even families will pass away. But, there is something is, indeed, rock solid that has, does, and will stand the test of time. The Word of God, the Truth of God, the Promises of God will not ever, ever, ever pass away.

We can hold on to His truth. It's His truth reveals who He is. It reveals who we are, because of who He is. The promises of His Word are yes, amen, and forever. He is not a man that He should lie. His very nature is Truth. God cannot change His nature. When Jesus spoke a word to the people of that day, it was a word that they could count on, build upon, trust in.

What have we really to fear? His Word is true. When He speaks to us, our response must be to receive and believe. Nothing less. We can't allow anything, fear, worry, stress and the like, to rob us of what God has said. Of two things we can count on: 1) Everything in tis physical life will pass away, and 2) Every Word of truth out of the mouth of God will stand.

Spend time in His Word. Trust Him at His Word. Live OUT His Word. It is life-changing, never-ending, and rock-solid. His Word is ALIVE.
